Just awoke and looked out of the glass doors at the stars of Taurus and a 40% moon. The rains of last night have passed but still 50% clouds. A fairly pleasant 35 degrees F. So, if it clears more before astronomical dawn I will take out the XLT.

Dense fog last night. It's thinned a bit but supposed to get foggy again tonight. Clouds might clear out by New Year's, but forecast uncertain still.

Clouds, rain, snow, clouds, cold. It was clear for an hour or two before sunrise today, which I managed to sleep through because I once again trusted a forecast.

Snow is expected to overspread the region tonight.

Maybe there'll be enough to break out the snowshoes. And if I'm really lucky, there'll be enough the next few days to shut down work - next week is a mandatory 5 days in the office week. Unfortunately the cloud cover continues.

Jan 01 first day of Snow, been in the pluses in December up to +12 c.
Next week -30c during the day. Clouds/Haze persists.
Tried twice in the past two weeks and the Moon looked muddy.

Two inches of snow last night with more forecast off and on for the next 5-6 days, possibly turning to rain at times.

believe it or not, we just received our first snowfall of the winter.

Drove home from visiting a friend after surgery in NY, a lot of snow there and in northern NJ, just rain here in southern NJ.
