After lots of reading and contemplating on getting a cheaper set of filters,i decide to get a total replacement of filters , i picked the chroma 3nm ha-sii-oiii with the loglow lum filter and rgb to replace the current mixed brands of badder and astronomik filters that i'm current using , a hefty price .. ( worth more then my car or my sct) , time to do some crying
here are the other brands i was considering, i'll link if anyone is interested, i think they ship worldwide . i think spec wise they are better than astronomiks but fall below astrodon and chroma , i would suspect they would be better than the new ultra wide badders as well, i haven't had a decent look at the specs of the new badders yet.
Woooooooh boy! That musta set you back haha I hope you enjoy them Yobbo! God knows I'm jealous!!! I'm happy for you and can't wait to see what you can do with them!!

I am drooling over my keyboard (probably together with lots of other folks).
Looking forward to see some fine images you take with them!

Congrats on the new filters. Nice that they are mounted, so, you don't have to worry about getting them mounted in the proper orientation (like unmounted filters). Really look forward to seeing your first light.
Hopefully the 3nm narrow bandwidth will help with any reflections from the corrector? Time will tell.
Cheers,
Steve

Nothing to really do, it will not stop raining and when it does its cloudy.. Every day.
Pulled appart the camera and filter wheel to do some cleaning and installation of the new filters.
The new chroma set is installed now, low glow lum filter, rgbha sii and oiii and kept two badder filters, the h beta 8.5nm and ha 7nm, I'll just have to adjust the oag focus when I ever use these filters. I'll experiment with the chroma ha 3nm and the badder ha7nm and do some nii subtraction and if it's worth while then I'll replace with a nii filter or a 5nm chroma.
I went through my receipts for the camera's, filters, fwheel, corrector ectt. Shockingly it came to a hefty $9511.. Yeah when there's no clear sky's and the only thing to do is work out how much money has been depleated in this hobby I don't even want to start calculating the money spent on adaptors... Maybe I should start looking at insuring some of this stuff and selling the old gear I don't use.
Edit : tried to look for some insurance and no luck, most do single items of up to $ 5k..
