I'm not quite there, but getting close to seriously considering a dedicated camera and filter wheel. There's an ASI1600 Pro Mono bundle that my local store sells and I'm curious if it's the camera for me, if the filter wheel and filters themselves are good, and if it is an overall good deal...?
My setup is an AVX, ES ED80, and a Bortle range somewhere around 8-9 depending on where I'm pointing. With my Canon 70D I'm doing 180sec at 1600ISO. I've successfully shot up to 600sec at 400ISO.
The bundle in question is $1999.00 and comes with: ASI1600MM Pro Astronomy Camera 36mm 7 hole Electronic Filter Wheel 36mm LRGB Filter Set 36mm 7nm Narrowband Filter Ha OIII SII: https://telescopes.net/store/zwo-asi160 ... lters.html
Does it matter that it's 1.25" vs 2"?
