Correct Name For A Part
I would like to connect my ZWO ASI120MC to one of my Canon EF lenses. I have everything I need (the spacers) except I can't find an adapter that allows me to connect my lens to this adapter on one side and has an M42-.75 female thread on the other side. I mistakenly purchased a Canon to M42 lens mount adapter but this adapter fits on my Canon camera NOT the lens. I need the opposite of this. I don't know what keywords to use to search for this adapter. I'm apparently finding everything else that isn't this adapter in my searches. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JT

Re: Correct Name For A Part
Thanks. I think you nailed it with the first link. The search word I didn't know to use was "C-Mount". Thanks so much, my project can now move forward. More on that later.
Cheers,
JT

All of my imaging setups do not allow me to use the polar align feature in SharpCap. I've always wanted to try to this function but my imaging scales all are too small to see a big enough chunk of sky to use use the polar align feature.fatboy1271 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2019 9:28 pmHaving an ASI120MC and Canon lens I am very curious as to what you are doing...
I'll let you know how it goes, plus other experiments with that setup. Maybe some kind of

Here I thought you were going to put a canon lens on it, mount that, and then do some wide field videoJayTee wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2019 2:07 pmAll of my imaging setups do not allow me to use the polar align feature in SharpCap. That's exactly what I'm doing. I'll let you know how that goes.fatboy1271 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2019 3:30 pm Here I thought you were going to put a canon lens on it, mount that, and then do some wide field video AP. Is that even possibly/sensible?
