Buy Directly From ZWO???

Hi All,

I want a second ZWO EAF and my usual sources (Highpoint Scientific, Agena Astro) have the EAF on backorder. The ZWO web site has them in stock.

I have never ordered directly from ZWO, I have always used a second party vendor.

Does anyone here have any positive or negative experience with purchasing directly from ZWO?

Thanks for any experience that you can share!

You should call them and check. It could be that their website is not up to date.

You know, I have always had good service from Highpoint. I can wait. I really not in any big hurry.

I just checked agena astro, they have 10 plus in stock. They usually get things in a lot quicker where the bigger suppliers don't.

While I've never ordered directly from ZWO, they do recommend trying to use a local distributor if there are any issues since they're based in China.

I saw Gordon’s previous post about Agena having it in stock. I had checked yesterday and it was back ordered.

Ordered about an hour ago!

This 5v version will save me a cable. I already use a 12v ASI EAF and it works great.

If possible buy local. Here in South Africa there was no ZWO agent in Feb 2021 so I bought my 2600MM from China. Its been a lemon and has cost me over $200 in DHL courier fees to send twice back to China. Current on its way back for repair again. There is now a local agent who I have just bought a 294MM from. Simple to sort if this breaks. The ASI2600MM has been a disaster for me.
