Canon T7 versus Svbony Sv205 8mp

#1

Post by gcorniani_br »

Hello everybody

I just move from my Svbony Sv205 8mp camera to a Canon T7 with my Celestron 6” (150mm) Schmidt Cassegrain telescope. I'm a little frustrated with the results. After see the results of other more experienced photographers I think I am doing something wrong ...

I attached both pictures from Jupiter and you can see that my Svbony picture is bigger, with a better zoom. The picture made with my T7 is far, far way ...

Any suggestions on how to zoom in more on the T7 ?

Thanks !

The images you posted are about what you would expect.

The Canon has a much better resolution than the Svbony though. What capturing software do you use? You might want to look at the Region of Interest settings to zoom in.

Regards

Graeme

Use a 2 or 3x Barlow with your Canon 7D. Your image sizes are smaller because the Canon sensor is so much bigger than the Svbony. That's why you need to use a barlow. You can keep using Backyard EOS but I would think about switching to APT. Astrophotography Tool.
