Connector for Celestron Nexstar hand controller

#1

Post by jazzin »

What kind of connector does the Nexstar hand controllers use? The clip on mine which holds the connector in the port on the AVX broke off and I figure instead of getting a new hand controller, I could just replace the connector. Is it an ethernet connector?

I bought my mount in 2015 so it's the older version hand controller

Hello Jazzin. It's an Ethernet RJ45. You might want to get an extension lead and fix the broken plug into the female end so you can plug the male end into your mount rather than cutting the existing plug off.

What is an extension lead and how do I find the right one on the internet?
