IR Pass filter for Mars?

#1

Post by TheButcher »

Hey all,

Just wondering and thinking about pulling the trigger on an IR pass filter. I would use it for Mars mainly, and occasional moon. Now is it worth it with LRGB imaging or will I be fine with just my RGB filters, which I recently just acquired finally some lightly used RGB filters (ZWO) after I sold mine this past summer? I will be using my zwo290mm with it. Also, would any of them help with DSO imaging if I decide not to sell it after to use it as a luminance?

With that said if it is worth it and if so Which one should I get? It will be used with a C11. I see the Baader one for $90 and some others for $40-$50ish (Antilia, Astronomik and possibly others)

Thx :)
