Adapter issue!

#1

Post by Micke187 »

I recently ordered an adapter for my skywatcher 2,5inch flattener i thought would work but the threads was a tad to big to fit the flattener. It was this the one i ordered :

Anyone knows which adapter to use for this flattener to get down to m48? This is the flattener i use:

The corrector says it comes with an adapter to 48 mm 0.75 pitch for the camera end. I'm a little confused on your setup

So strange, if you plan on puting that angle adjustment adapter on the end of your corrector and then the camera attached it should fit, because the corrector states that it has a m48 0.75 male thread and the swivel adapter says it uses a m48 0.75 female thread step down internally inside the male 63mm - 1mm pitch thread and the other end is 48mm 0.75 for the camera

I have missread on the site and i totally missed out the spacing length. So yeah i do need that adapter that comes with the flattener. i thought it was 55mm from the flattener and not the adapter. That why i thought i needed And i think my setup will fit within the spacing just fine. Do think that m64 is rather unuasal thread size it got on the camera side tho. Missed that also...
But now i need another adapter that goes from m48 to m42 but thats easy.
And sorry for the late post!

Well after a purchase of a m48 to m42 adapter i got the spacing is almost perfect. 105mm spacing from flattener to sensor. It say on the Teleskop-Service site that the spacing should be 103mm so i hope the 2mm wont be a problem.
