In my continuing efforts to get as much experience as possible in all forms of AP, I achieved a new milestone early this morning. Since I now live in northern Idaho there is the possibility that I could witness the Aurora Borealis. Well, last night that possibility turned into a reality. I captured a 4 hour time-lapse of my northern sky and that time-lapse contained nearly an hour's worth of Aurora activity. Yay!!!

This was captured on my Wyze Cam3. I can't recommend this camera enough. For the price, you can't beat it. Thanks @Groovy2

The Vid.

Cheers

Congratulations JT on a splendid effort.

Thank you for sharing that with us.

I am jealous, having never seen that phenomena in real life :sigh:

From your work flow, I could only get through the conversion of the stream in VLC player. Because you use a Mac and I use a PC Resolve 16 is not an option for me (because I didn't want to purchase it) so there were no filters used on that video.

Cheers

Hi JT. A beautiful time lapse video of the Aurora Borealis from your backyard. It reminds us of the celery green "shower curtain" displays that we would see on occasion when we lived in rural northeastern Illinois. Thanks for sharing this splendid presentation with us on here JT, and keep looking up.

Lovely - I captured my first a week or so ago - using a ZWO 120MC laid horizontally at the horizon - AllSkeye software - quality was relatively poor, but has spurred me on with a 'better' camera somewhere in a post-van heading my way.

Looks like your choice of cam was a good one - should have popped in here before building my setup!
