Help with StarTools Color module

#1

Post by Kerry C. »

Somehow somewhere I have clicked the wrong button. When I am in the color module of StarTools, under the matrix key in the bottom right for putting in the identity of the camera used, the camera list for dslr's has been replaced with a bunch of SHO.HOS... and other options.
Does anyone know how I can restore the DSLR list?
Thanks,
Kerry

Sorry, Kerry. I couldn't recreate the problem, so can't provide any suggestions. If nothing better comes along, I'd suggest re-installing StarTools and see if that helps.

Edit: Just a little too late, I see :) What was the fix?

I have also seen that several times. Don’t remember exactly the cause, but it might simply be if you have already run the Color Module and revisit it again, the Matrix selection offers these selections.

Bob,
At the beginning of starting StarTools it asks if it is Linear, or Linear, from OSC/DSLR with Bayer matrix and not white balanced, or
Non-linear sRGB source.
I am using a DSLR. I think I might have selected Linear rather than the second option OSC/DSLR... because when selecting the second option it “does” give all the DSLR camera options and when only selecting Linear it does not.
I am so new to this processing stuff and StarTools I’m not sure what kind of information I am trying to process.
On another note. Last night was my first night using my new NEQ5 mount. Wow, what a difference than with my Celestron Altazimuth mount. I absolutely love this new mount and how well it tracks.
Now I just need to figure out how to process the images I am getting.
