The other night I ended up capturing a bunch of SharpCap files as TIFF images instead of FITS. The causes me grief in DSS since it treats these as Mono instead of color.
DSS generally does not treat TIFF as mono unless there is something special about your TIFF file. You may have to edit it to bring out the color, the
DSS editor is quite good at that. Many people are surprised how the
DSS stacked image looks like grey scales; you just have to bring out the color, with
DSS or any other 32 bit editor.
