Milky Way rookie with images fr trip

#1

Post by Scott Maze »

I took the family to lake Burton in Georgia. We got some good photos, but I am having trouble reducing light pollution and making the blacks look black, I was trying to follow a tutorial on clarks vision astrophotography, but I am over my head.

I made a 12 x 18 inch print on canvas that I want for keepsake, but not the quality i hoped.

My best star image does not have any lake. My best lake image has star trails from something. All in raw. Anyone game to help?

I am hoping to combine and print for wall hanging poster.

Thank you Scott Maze

Those are beautiful pictures. I don't know much about AP, but I'm sure there must be some good data there for processing.

I used to have film and a darkroom, so that's pretty much the extent of my experience.

Hi Scott,

Just like in your previous posts, make a Dropbox folder, put your originals in it and give us the link. Someone will be along who will tackle this issue and see what product can be created.

Normally I would jump right in and do this but we had a family emergency yesterday and I'm kind of tied up for a few days.

Cheers

Thank you! Wonderful memories with whole family on the dock! We laid down and looked up at the milky way, owls calling, frogs croaking, and 4 shooting stars... 4 am in the morning.
