Align moon RGB data

#1

Post by Micke187 »

So i have a little issue with aligning the moon images i shoot almost a week ago but have run into some trouble combining the RGB data.
Have been tinkered with autostackert and also registrax but there is no alternative for adding a reference image so the data will align for all the channels.
Is there no options for that in any of the programs or do i have to use another program for it?

Have tried FFTR registration in PI that ive seen some have mentioned but for me that didnt work at all.
Its easy to stack the individual channels but to combine and aligning them all seems tricky..

I've had excellent luck with FFT Registration in PixInsight.

yeah theres a way to do moon images in pi as mac has shown, i just use autostakkert and shift any channels manualy with registacks if there is a minor alignment error.
