APP or DSS?
I read some glowing reports about APP (Astro Pixel Processor ) compared against DSS (Deep Sky Stacker).
So I ran my M42 data throughAPP . Same default settings in Star Tools and PS 2021.

More nebulous material in theAPP ? Much. softer appearance, seems that the Starwave has over emphasised the green channel.
