APP or DSS?

#1

Post by Greenman »

I read some glowing reports about APP (Astro Pixel Processor) compared against DSS (Deep Sky Stacker).

So I ran my M42 data through APP. Same default settings in Star Tools and PS 2021.

More nebulous material in the APP? Much. softer appearance, seems that the Starwave has over emphasised the green channel.

I shall try the same thing on the M45 image.
Cheers,

Tony.
