Brad - Thanks for sharing this! He is really a clever guy. I just watched the whole thing and am going to give this a try.

Update - found these useful scripts - EZ Processing Suite - which has an EZ Star Reduction script that does this technique for you. To get the suite ...

1. Select Resources->Updates->Manage Repositories from PixInsight menu
2. Click '+ Add' button
3. Paste into text box -> https://darkarchon.internet-box.ch:8443/
4. Click 'Ok' button on dialog
5. Click 'Ok' button on Manage Repositories dialog
6. Select Resources->Updates->Check for Updates
7. Follow normal PixInsight updates process ...
8. When done, you find Scrips->EZ Processing Suite on your PixInsight menu

Thanks Brad - You are a wealth of good information!

I've already downloaded his scripts and just tried the star reduction one. It worked amazingly well!! It even reduced the halos that were evident around some of the brighter stars. This will definitely find it's way into my workflow.

Thanks again. Much appreciated.

Cheers
