Single-frame self-challenge

Last night was supposed to be clear but moonlit, so I fired up as session to take some Ha frames. It got one frame into the sequence before cloud and fog rolled in. But that one frame looked pretty fair. So, to see if I understood the calibration process well enough, I decided to process it.

This is a single 15-minute Ha frame, unstacked obviously, with darks and flats applied manually via PixelMath, then cleaned up and stretched. It is noisy, as you would expect for a single frame, but on the whole, not bad. The master dark was applied via simple subtraction. To apply the master flat, I used Statistics to find the mean pixel value of the master flat. Then I used the formula: Output = Ha * Mean / (Flat * 65535).

So, here are the takeaways I get from your image:
1. The stars are round (nice guiding)
2. You have an excellent amount of detail.
3. The noise ain't that bad.
