Oh, my this has a learning curve; a real programmers product. It calls out for a GUI.

Still I can see the power, just currently going through the pain.
I am being ably assisted by Mitch and his video's from 2018 which although showing their age of a great help to the uninitiated. Part 1 of 12

This is the reason I am quiet at the moment :)

Back soon with some reprocessed images! Bye bye green from the Greenman
Cheers,

Tony.

Hi Tony,
I've been using PI since Nov 2015 and am very pleased with it's capabilities. There certainly is a learning curve, but, seems that is true for all processing programs. The link below is to a set of tutorials at Harry's Astroshed. I found them very helpful at the beginning, so, thought I would share the information with you. Each video tutorial is short and covers only one process at a time. Maybe they will be helpful for you too.

Best of success with your venture into PixInsight.

It is completely different but once you get used to it the style makes sense. I did the 12 Mitch videos for absolute beginners. Very useful. There are a lot of other youtubers doing it too. Good luck, I look forward to seeing your work! There's loads of data to play with in the AP Processing Challenges!

Thanks Steve, I will check out Harry’s site. I see the power of PI now, it is a bit overwhelming when you first open the program 😁
Cheers,

Tony.
