bath interferometer
I am putting together some plans for a bath interferometer.

Just because it looks like an accurate way to measure mirror quality, to ridiculous tolerances. I am monitoring a chat group started by Dale Eason and others, they delve deep into the construction and physics of their set ups.
Cheers,
Ian

Re: bath interferometer
Hey Ian - I don't know what a bath interferometer is, but, hopefully it will work well for you.
However, even if it didn't work it sounds like you would have a place for a bath. That can't be all bad!

Re: bath interferometer
Steve, this bath would be mobile in three dimensions with an x, y and z coordinate motility. And while I'm cleaning up, I could check out whether my XT10's mirror surface is better than 1/4 wave P to V.

Re: bath interferometer
Wow - that went straight over the top of my brain cell.....I'll never look at baths in the same way again
Just call me Geoff....
I do what I do because I can, and because I want to.
It doesn't mean I know what I'm doing
