Anyway, given that you're building on a deck, are there any concerns about vibrations? Or maybe you have a pier / pad and I missed it.

I do not have a pier and I do have some concerns about vibration. I am on a budget and I didn't have room in it for the pier. That is also why I purchased a POD with 3 bays instead of 5 bays. I don't have too many concerns though. The deck is reinforced with very little give and I hope to add a warm room in the near future. There is not enough vibration to interfere with visual observing and I usually step away from the deck when it is imaging. That is what I do now. My plan is to be in the POD when setting up and in the warm room while it makes its captures.
