It’s on sale but still pricey. I’m leaning towards the Williams Optics GT 102 that’s $1000 cheaper and appears to get better reviews for astrophotography. Thoughts??

ES-
More aperture- more expensive but more light gathering for imaging
Shorter focal length, less exposure time
Carbon fibre tube, more expensive, takes longer to acclimate, lighter telescope and minimal expansion/ contract

Welcome to the forum Drewnyc! If you have founds I would go with Stellarvue 102mm or even 80mm instead of ES or WO. The difference is that ES and WO are mass produced scopes, while Stellarvue are hand crafted with .98 - .996 Strehl and test report for each scope included.

Definitely the Stellarvue would be the better choice.

TS 0ptics 115 f7 51 triple only a little over $1100 shipped to usa. Order on Monday, receive on friday.
I do visual only and very nice optically.
Arizona- where the sky's are not cloudy all night.

Triple lensed fracs are so yummy when looking at planets.
