Hi all. Here is another test using a fresh image made this afternoon. It is my smallest telescope. A Skywatcher C90 Mak-Cass, "Lil Mak"

Hi Gabrielle. Actually, this was the first telescope that I bought with the reality of retirement closing in on me, and added the larger telescopes later. I gave it to my eldest son in Orlando, when I moved up a 127mm Mak, and finally the 180mm Mak. When he moved to Lansing, MI. a couple of years ago, he left it here for me. I use it for wildlife/nature photography and should be quite good for this kind of work.

Hi Marshall, I'm not familiar with Skywatcher telescopes and I notice there is some sort of electronic control on the scope, is that a GoTo system?

Hi THP. Sorry so long in getting back to you. I bought this telescope from OPT in 2009. It is the "Multi Function Mount" metal base version, with dual axis speed controls. The current Sky Watcher (Virtuoso) offering is on a wooden table top mount similar to the Orion StarMax 90. My scope is excellent for lunar/planetary and wildlife viewing and photography, and as a bonus, it makes for a great "grab and go"telescope.
I found the original specifications, and they are below:

Do you keep that tethered and in a cage when not on manoeuvrers?

Nice!

Curious little telescope you got Marshall. I have my dad's Jason Comet 480 which is probably about the same size physically. It's from the late seventies or early eighties but I still use it as a grab and go with the Celestron zoom and adaptor for 1.25" eyepieces.

It is a very nice little telescope. I used to have an orange C90, I used it on holidays when my sons were still small. I could always cram the C90 somewhere in my suitcase. Nice memories. Thanks for your report!
