Does anyone happen to know the size of the secondary mirror of Skywatcher N 130/900 Explorer (the one with spherical mirror)? I bought such a thing to my grandson who lives 300 km away, and I haven't even seen it myself.

I was thinking of the collimation of the secondary - what size of sight tube would work well.

Why not get a Cheshire eyepiece, then he can use it with any newtonian later on?

Hmm, I guess I need to learn how to use Chesire to check the secondary placement.

I was thinking of a capped tube with a small hole that gives an appropriate view angle just a bit bigger than the secondary should appear when the tube is set in the right distance.

Oh, and I'll get him the same kind of laser that I have, and teach him the barlowed laser way to collimate the primary.
