Skywatcher Skymax 127 Synscan cable

#1

Post by oranjeboom »

Hi hope you are all well. I want to upgrade the Synscan firmware, and try controlling the scope with Stellarium. Unfortunately my laptop does not have a serial port, and I can't get hold of a Skywatcher serial to usb adaptor. Would a generic adaptor work? or would the Celestron one be compatible? Thanks.

Yes to both. I would go with the generic because it's probably going to be less expensive than the Celestron version.
