I just ordered an 8” RASA from OPT today, and it’s in the mail!

Thanks all! I will be butting this on my Orion Sirius EQ-go to mount. Just got notified that it will be here tomorrow (Friday) This will make a good companion to my Orion 180mm Mak-Cas. I should have all of my bases covered now. Having just said that, sure would like to try a Celestron C11 edge!

The RASA is here! In the past I have had 80mm refractors or similar for wide field. Now that I have this beast, I finally understand why so many authors recommend new people not to get more than an 8" SCT for a first scope! These things get heavy in a hurry, so do the mounts!

I haven't forgotten the requests for a first light report. But, you know the curse! Every night cloudy and rain so far.
