Hickson Compact Group 73 consists of five galaxies in Bootes:

NGC 5829 (HCG 73a, UGC 9673, VV 7 and others) is the spiral located approximately 148 million light-years away.

IC 4526 (HCG 73b, PGC 53707 and others) is the companion to the upper right of NGC 5829. These two are also designated as Arp 42.

2MASX J15024985+2321351 (HCG 73c, PGC 53720 and others) is the largest of a galaxy cluster above and to the left of NGC 5829.

2MASX J15023158+2322110 (HCH 73d, PGC 53703 and others is the edge-on galaxy above and to the right of NGC 5829 and IC 4526.

2MASX J15023128+2319420 (HCG 73e, PGC 53702 and others) is the galaxy to the right of NGC 5829 and the star.

See the annotated image.

Luminance – 35x600s – 350 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 9:8:10x300s – 45:40:50 minutes each – binned 2x2

485 minutes total exposure – 8 hours 5 minutes

Imaged May 22nd, 23rd and 24th, 2023 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.

This data was impacted by the cooling failing on my camera.
