Caldwell 72 C72 - Whale galaxy

Caldwell 72 (NGC 55) also known as the Whale galaxy is a galaxy located within the constellation Sculptor.

C72 is best viewed during Fall, is magnitude 7.9*, and can be viewed with binoculars. It is 32 x 6' in size. For reference, the full moon is 30' (arc minutes) in size.

Taken with the Slooh 17" Planewave and FLI PL16803 camrea 38 - 50 second Luminescence subs for a total of 32 minutes.
