NGC 6749 (Berkeley 42) is a Shapley-Sawyer class XII (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shapley%E2 ... tion_Class) globular cluster located approximately 5,935 light-years away in Aquila.

Luminance – 26x600s – 260 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

380 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 20 minutes

Imaged eight nights in May and June, 2021 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.

Hello again Dan. Yet another superb image from you. Your NGC 6749 is fantastic, especially on the flickr site. A wonderful globular cluster captured with the 12" RC telescope at Dark Sky New Mexico. A beautiful spray of colorful stars on a black background. Thanks for sharing more of your work with us on here Dan, as it is greatly appreciated.
