Arp 270 consists of NGC 3396 (UGC 5935, VV 246a, PGC 32434 and others) on the left and NGC 3395 (UGC

5931, VV 246b, PGC 32424 and others) on the right. Part of Arp’s ‘Double Galaxies with Connected Arms’

class, these are located approximately 49 million light-years away in Leo Minor.

Luminance – 28x600s – 280 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

400 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 40 minutes

Imaged March 10th, 13th, 14th and 16th, 2021 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New

Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
