M83 comparison Neb4 vs Startools vs Astro Pixel Processor vs PI

#1

Post by Ben Cartwright SASS »

M83: I found one of my captures that I had done my best to process in Nebulosity4/Photoshop and StarTools7 and my trial version of Pixinsight. I was happy with it but still not satisfied. I downloaded the trial version of APP and decided to process it this evening to see which I like the best.
I downloaded the trial of PI last summer, and this was the best I did at that time. the PI version was taken with the SLOOH 20" while the others were with the 17"

Here are my efforts

I vote for APP. I like the details in the bars.

The PI image was when I tried PI about a year ago, I didn't buy it then. I have advanced in my processing and am thinking of buying Pixinsight now....
