Astro Trivia Quiz for September!

#1

Post by Raymondhow »

Okay guys, here's another quiz!
https://forms.gle/AZ3orh3HrSZMy7gC6

You may find this quiz a bit easier than the last one.
A new wrinkle for short-answer questions: the right answer spelled correctly scores two points. The right answer not spelled correctly will score only half-credit = one point. (I will manually adjust scores for that.)

Remember:
1. No online research allowed, your own pure brain only!
2. On short-answer questions, correct spelling gets full credit, misspelling half credit.
3. For the multiple choice questions, feel free to guess. You may get lucky!
4. Please, no repeating the quiz, at least not until after I announce the Champs sometime next week.

Enjoy! :Astronomer1:

Better than last 14/20. OK, spelling again, guess I get 2 point back, so 16/20. Really only missed one, on a multiple guess question, back in school this was a pass.

Fun, easier than last,

It scored me at 17/20. One point was a legitimate brain fart. The other two were for case-sensitivity on a long answer (slow pinky on the shift key). I’m calling it 19/20.

Hi Kathy, yes you scored 19 points. The auto-scorer is case-sensitive, wish I could turn that off.
You'll be a Champ unless someone aces it. Thanks for quizzing!

8/20

Two spelling errors.

I thought closest planet might have been a trick question!

Should have got all of those except maybe the last one!

Good quiz.

12/20. (Pretty good at the physics, but very poor knowledge of the sky.) I'll be working on that. So, please keep the quizzes coming!
