I took a crack at HOO to see what a more natural color scheme might be. Because I can't throw anything away, I used the nii as a luminance frame. Very similar process in StarTools as I used for the SHO version last week.

Rob, did you drizzle this data in the calibration process. Or do you really have that large a sensor in use? Thanks for letting us get our hands on it!

I've never used Nii, I gave it a try but could not come up with anything I liked, so I did HOO.

That's a nice variant Carole. You have some fine detail in the iris.

So you won't be wanting an Nii filter for Christmas then? :)

Regards

Graeme

I posted a link to this challenge on Eileens Lounge. Here's one of Ken's goes at it using Ha -->Red | Nii -->Green | Oiii -->Blue and then applying a Technicolor effect with Affinity Photo, which involves inverting the colours in each channel R-->G, G-->M, B -->Y.

I like it!

Thanks Graeme.
So you won't be wanting an Nii filter for Christmas then? :)
I have hardly seen anyone use one and when they do it seems a very odd coloured result as did this when i tried to process it. So no, it is not on my Christmas present list.
You have some fine detail in the iris.
Yes I did concentrate on that area to get some nice detail.
