Just a reminder,

Give us a hand and help us select our daily TSS APOD!!!

It can be sketched, or captured with video or a single image, or a processed stack.

Not a lot of rules, but we would like an image that was captured with a members own equipment. Or sketched by their own hand.

Can I propose Dan's collection of galaxies, ARP249 for an APOD?

This whole field appears to have a bunch of IFN. I could not see this in other images but this kind of stuff can be errantly processed out. See the inverted luminance for a better look.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours

Imaged December 15th and 16th, 2020 and January 1st, 2021 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
