"Losing the Nobel Prize" by Brian Keating

Picked this up yesterday and dove in. It's an easy read about science gone awry (viz.: the non-discovery of B-mode polarization in the CMB) and the foibles of a young cosmologist working on BICEP.

I like the mix of science with the human side of research.

I was reading this, perhaps halfway through, when I inadvertently left it in the men's room during a medical clinic visit. I returned a few minutes later but it was gone, alas.

I put it aside. I should go back and finish it.
