I've just downloaded it and had a quick peep. Looks good.

Thanks! Our local astronomy club is hosting a guest lecture from an astronomy post-graduate student on this very topic. So, I appreciate the opportunity to preview the material. I downloaded the book and I put it on a Surface 1 that I do not use much. It would be handy for reading. It remains to find out if I will actually carry it around and do that...

I also am uncertain about their business model. How does anyone get paid in any sense from free downloads? I mean, as a professional writer, I do post a lot online (as here). Most of my paid writing is in numismatics and I still make the time to author for a website (www.cointalk.com) that I also support with a donation. So, I get that. Still, this book in particular was a tremendous effort. I am in awe of young master Ferreras for his prodigious work.

I hope it's of some use Mike.

My assumption was that it was old readily available science and so free or a taster of a book shortly to be released. I've only had a brief look but it appears to be neither of those things.

Regards

Graeme
