You don't want a maksutov telescope for deep sky, most of them are f10 to f14 which is very slow .

500mm is a reasonable focal length for deep sky...

make a good stack that you're happy with ie the flats and darks worked good, then deleate all the indvidual fit files.. or put them in a zip folder....
