"The Whale and the River"

Exploring some of the fainter constellations requires darker skies than your typical urban or suburban enviroment just to see them naked eye. In this case, we follow along with Bigzmey (Andrey) as he takes advantage of the dark skies of the Anza desert to hunt down galaxies in the constellations Cetus, Pegasus, and Eridanus. Whilst Pegasus is fairly bright and features the grouping of four stars comprising the great square of Pegasus which is easily visible the other two are faint. Nevertheless Andrey was very successful in plumbing the depths of the these constellations for galaxies with his Celestron 9.25" Edge and 6" refractor. Congratulations Andrey on the VROD award for the day.
