9-24-2023 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

"Observing Report for 19 September 2023 - now that felt good!"

Today's featured report by KT4HX (Alan) represents a triumphant return to DSO observing in earnest with a good-sized aperture scope. Focusing first on Saturn and catching the Cassini division and then numerous satellites of the ringed planet he moved into Aquarius and caught the Helix Nebula visually without a filter.

While the view was slightly more detailed with a filter, even without it was a sight to behold. Next he moved onto galaxies in the constellation, many of which were first-time observations. He also caught the Andromeda galaxy, the Triangulum galaxy, and the Double Cluster among other objects. As he notes, his DSO's observed tally stands at 4,908! As an aside, he also had some success as an electrician prior to the session! Congratulations Alan on a fine report, the VROD for today, and a return to DSO observing in earnest!
