9-24-2021 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

by helicon

"Binoculars First Light"

Today's featured report is a first light experience from team member Graeme1858 (Graeme) using his new11x70 APM binoculars. Switching up from 10x50's to 70mm aperture results in an almost exponential increase in the number of stars visible, and objects also appear much brighter. Graeme observed the Kurhah starfield in Cepheus, NGC 7160, and the deep red Garnet star. Check out the original report and follow along with his other observations of objects including the Andromeda Galaxy. Congratulations to Graeme on winning the TSS VROD for the day!
