"Observing Report for 06 September 2021 - galaxies and other things"

Today we highlight Alan's (KT4HX report) as he explores Hercules as a galaxy hunting ground. Utilizing his 17.5" Dob from his dark sky location, he managed to pull in a wide variety of these faint denizens before switching over to the the watery constellation of PIsces, also a large-aperture galactic hunting ground. Other stops in Pegasus and Taurus yielded views of the 14.7 magnitude supernova SN 2021rhu in NGC 7814 (a great catch!) and comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, a 12.51 magnitude object. Congratulations Alan on winning the VROD for the day!
