"Ultra Wide Low Power Observing"

What if you could find a pair of binoculars where the field of view is so wide (greater than 5 degrees) that you could behold entire asterisms and constellations? That's exactly what Unitron48 (Dave) trotted out in a wonderful first light experience where he enjoyed amazing views of star fields and the Milky Way, dotted with DSO's of course. In addition, there was a large scope component to the session with a large Meade SCT and also a 20" Dob his friends and he used to observe a bevy of lesser known globular clusters (all NGC objects). Congrats Dave on the productive time out there and also the new gear, and here's to a well-deserved VROD award!
