8-20-2022 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

by helicon

"A Nice morning with the Moon and Mars"

Sometimes getting back to basics is the real trick with visual astronomy, and that means observing naked eye. In the case TheFatKitty (Mark) enjoyed the pre-dawn sights of te planets and moon floating in the heavens along with the emergent winter constellations with the Pleiades and bright stars such as Aldebaran and Capella. The sense of wonder is almost palpable in Mark's report. Even though he snapped a photo of the moon, the sheer joy of visual observing is readily apparent. Congrats Mark on winning the VROD for the fine session!
