8-2-2021 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

by helicon

"Lyra to Cygnus and Hercules: The Lynds, MW, MDW, MBM, and the Mel Bartels Nebula"

Todays' report represents an outstanding effort to observe faint and extended nebulae with 10.5x70, 15x85 and 8x56 binoculars in the constellations mentioned above. These faint loops of gas are quite hard, and perhaps impossible, to observe from light polluted locations. Dark skies and a keen observational eye are required to see them. In this case jgardavsky (JG) has captured them visually and further documented the observation with a detailed sketch. Congratulations JG in winning the TSS VROD for the day!
