8-15-2022 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

by helicon

"I'm back again. Comets, Custers, and Planets."

Today's featured report comes from Shelby who managed views of three classes of objects during his latest session - a comet (CK/2017K2 Panstarrs), globular clusters, and for good measure Jupiter and Saturn. Observing the comet in Ophiuchus was a fairly easy task and represents a nice find. Nearby was the globular cluster M107, which made a fine target, Poking around in the serpent-bearer he found some more clusters before heading for Scutum and more clusters as well as an asterism in Vulpecula. Capping it off with some planetary views he enjoyed a successful outing. Congratulations on the VROD award for the day!
