8-13-2023 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

"Perseids and Planets"

Today's featured report belongs to Unitron48 (Dave) who got together with some friends for a night and morning under the stars with August's attraction, the Perseid meteor shower. In the time they were observing they counted 101 meteors including several as bright as Venus. So certainly the show did not disappoint.

They also had a chance to observe Jupiter, Saturn, nebulae, clusters, and galaxies through a 20" Dob and 12" SCT. All in all a very satisfying and fun evening. Congratulations Dave on winning the VROD for today!
