"An Evening with the Family"

Being able to share the sights in the skies with family and friends is one of the true joys of the hobby. On some occasions family members and significant others will react with the following: "Oh, that's nice" and go back to whatever they were doing when shown a view at the eyepiece, but other times folks are actually engaged.

Children are probably the most interested in astronomy as it expands their horizons and can impart a sense of wonder. In this case Dave Sellars was able to share solar, lunar, and DSO viewing with his three daughters and wife, including using a binoviewer on some of the brighter objects. The scope used was an 80mm ED. Congratulations Dave on another good sessions and also the family outreach.
