"An evening in Sagittarius"

Today's featured report represents a romp in the constellation Sagittarius by bigzmey (Andrey). On this occasion at Anza he was able to utilize two scopes - a Celestron 150 Achro and the 9.25" Edge SCT he owns.

Offering a wide variety of targets except for galaxies (with the exception of Barnard's Galaxy), the prey in Sagittarius consists of OC's, globulars, double stars, and nebulae. Noteworthy was a stunning view of M8 through the 150 Achro.

Putting his 9.25" scope to work he was able to view the dim (13th magnitude) and obscure globular cluster Arp 2 in a fine example of observing skill. He also worked on a variety of NGC Clusters, some of which he observed, others were too faint. All in all an excellent night out with many challenge objects.
