7-18-2023 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

by helicon

"Traditional enjoying from holiday address"

Whilst on Holiday, John Baars was able to observe a full evening of activities from a Bortle 4/5 zone in Zeeland. Appreciating the dark skies, he used his 102mm f/5 scope to great effect on objects ranging from the Double Cluster to M57 to M56 to M13, M81 and M82 to M8 the Lagoon and everything in between.

Providing detailed descriptions as well as extremely capably rendered sketches, his report is a delight to read and comprehend. An absolutely fantastic summer session with all of the classic objects of the season, that is until the clouds eventually came in and shut things down. Congratulations John on earning the VROD for a highly impressive session!
