"How Low Can You Go - Joe's Astro Limbo Competition"

Today's featured report, courtesy of OzEclipse (Joe) who spent an evening observing an array of Northern Hemisphere objects including M51 from Australia using his big Dob. Just peeping above the horizon, the Whirpool makes a difficult object from southerly latitudes, if not impossible. To top it off, he made a wonderful series of sketches of his observations. Tumbling for the hobby, he narrowly avoided serious injury on a wood pile. Congratulations Joe on a fine evening of observing and sketching which was truly unique and a well-deserved VROD award.
