"A distant quasar in Crater"

Today's featured report dates back to April of 2021 and is courtesy of member NGC1365 (Ivan). So the good news is that the quasar is visible again as a Spring object. Noted as J1134-2103 it is a 15th magnitude object. Through careful comparison with the charts, Ivan was able to observe this elusive object. Keep in mind that the brightest known quasar (3C273) in Virgo can be viewed in amateur-sized scopes of 8" or more, and perhaps a 6" under dark sky conditions. So are you ready to give it a try?
